Weight: lions 330-430 pounds tigers 488 pounds

So the tiger is bigger which gives him an advantage

Speed[]

Speed: lion 50 miles per hour tiger 37 miles per hour

Although the lion has an advantage here it's still pretty close so it won't give the lion a huge advantage.

fighting styles[]

The tiger will typically stand up on its two hind legs and box its opponent with its two free forelimbs. The lion on the other hand will usually stay lower to the ground, keeping three limbs firmly on the ground and hitting with its free forelimb. The tiger will usually hit faster than the lion and more aimlessly, while the lion will focus a heavy hit on its opponent. Therefore, although the tiger will most assuredly land more hits on the lion, the lion will land a heavier, more well-placed hit on the tiger.

Fight[]

A male lion named Simba was searching for food and spotted a male tiger named Shere Khan, feasting on his kill. Simba ran at the tiger and caught him off guard. Shere Khan was quick to recover and attempted a fatal neck bite, but Simba shook off the attack. Both combatants growl at each other and start scratching fiercely at each others faces. The two big cats slug it out like boxers but can't land a killer blow. Shere Khan leaped onto Simba and tried to end the battle with a fatal neck bite, but before he could do it, Simba hit him with his paw. Shere Khan retreated and then charged at Simba who knocked him to the ground and delivered a killing bite. Simba then roared in victory as he retained his crown as King of the Beasts.
